39 Weeks

Mister Remy,

We are only one week from your estimated "due date", though you could come anytime between now and
the next three weeks, ideally.  The majority of first time moms go past the due date, so we may have to wait still a little bit longer to meet you...we are feeling so ready to meet you now though! You are estimated to be about the size of a small watermelon, around 20 inches long and weighing around 7 pounds. It's really hard to say how big you'll be when you're born.

You must be getting pretty snug in there. You move and push more than you kick. When you do kick, I feel like it shakes my whole body. I hadn't felt like my body temperature had really changed until the last week and all of a sudden I get too warm all the time. I know it's not normal when I'm the one overheating and your daddy is cold...that is a SERIOUS reversal of normal life. I went to the mall for a couple of quick stops and I was sweating in there, I felt so hot. I made my stops as soon as I could to get outside to some fresh air.

Today is my first day of maternity leave! It was so nice to get some extra sleep and have time to clean and relax. As well as spend extra time with Dexter, who I hope will become one of your best friends soon.
