12 Weeks

Little one, you are the size of a lime this week! It's amazing how you are so small and can affect me so much already. I'm exhausted all the time and eating everything under the sun. You are about 5.4cm from crown to rump and 14g in weight. According to my app, you now have a recognizable appearance with eyes and ears close to where they should be. Your fingers, toes, and eye muscles are starting to move. You also may already have reflexes, such as sucking!

We've been slowly telling close family & friends about your life. Everyone is so excited and you are so loved and anticipated! Your big brother will say big brother ("beeg bro-er") and baby tummy, though I don't know that he really comprehends the meaning quite yet. Mama's tummy is rapidly growing, so he may start to notice that more and question why. We also ask your big brother if he wants a baby sister or baby brother, but each time we ask him his answer changes. Either way, you are exactly who you are supposed to be and who God has planned you to be. You are a perfect little new life, a miracle.

We did get to see you on an early ultrasound this week! You were moving (my EXTREMELY full bladder may have helped that) and and you look perfect.
